Become A Volunteer

Volunteers are the centre and heart of the club. We could not continue and carry out the essential life saving work and training without you.

There are many ways to volunteer to help your club thrive. Every member is expected to play a part. Parent helpers are very valuable too.

If you would like to take on a bigger volunteering role (e.g. coaching), the Club will help develop your confidence, skills and you will gain coaching qualifications.

​Below are some ways in which you might help and support us: 

Sunday Training Club house Roles

• Cleaning the changing rooms
• Helping with sign in 
• Making tea between sessions
• Helping get kit out for sessions
• Organising the rash vest chaos
• Helping out with events 
• Managing the BBQ / Hot drinks / Cake Stall

Beach Based Coaching Roles

• You must be a member
• You must undergo an SLSGB DBS check 
• Dont worry, we will support you!

Water Based Helper

• You must be a member
• You must undergo a SLSGB DBS check 
• You will be asked to demonstrate your swimming ability

Safety Cover

• You must be a member
• You must undergo a SLSGB DBS check 
• You need a water safety cover and/or first aid qualification (the club will help you with this)
• Providing safety cover for our events
