Seniors

All senior members of the club are encouraged to further their knowledge and training in all aspects of beach safety at Bantham.

Once you have become a senior member and show a level of competency, you are allowed to help yourself to our club kit and train to your hearts content!

Become A coach, water safety cover, helper

Are you wanting to train the youth of today, so they can use the skills you've given them to save lives? If you become a volunteer coach with our club, it is hugely beneficial and rewarding and crucial to help your local club develop.

DO NOT WORRY!
If you feel you need development in coaching, confidence, water based skills, we will help you and give you the qualifications. Come along to a Sunday session or speak to a member of the committee to find out more!

Join Our Weekly Sessions

This year we are wanting more senior members to come down and use your equipment. There is such a variety in our garage and there is something for everyone.

Once a week, during the summer season, we are hoping to run adventures and training on the beach.

If you would like a less fitness-based session, we having a thriving social scene too, with Clubby BBQ's and events. So, come down and meet our friendly team on Sundays.

From January - March, we run a weekly Wednesday swimming session for all seniors. Just turn up and either swim at your own pace, or join in with other seniors for a specific training set.

Equipment Use

Our scheduled training session are fully under SLSGB insurance, but insurance is not available for individual training unless you have the correct competency qualification. If you would like to use the club kit outside of scheduled training, you must read the terms of the use in the club NOP and read and sign and return a waiver. Use of kit is not permitted without it.
