Saving lives - On the beach - In the water - Since 1960
COVID UPDATE We have devised a training programme, following government guidelines, to try and give every member the best and most fulfilling training we can. Please see the training page for both nippers and youth and keep an eye on our Facebook page, email and website for updates. Thank you for supporting the club during this challenging time.
Bantham Surf Life Saving Club is committed to providing a safe beach and aquatic environment for the community, whilst developing lifesaving skills through educating and training our members.
The club provides volunteer lifeguard cover, working closely at Bantham with the RNLI, on every Sunday throughout the summer season. This is alongside delivering lifeguard training programs for Seniors (18+ yrs), Youth (13-17) and Nippers (7-12).
The club has an active social scene and this year celebrates our 60th anniversary. We will be competing in local and national competitions and events. Every year sees the club defending its English, British and European Inshore Rescue Boat titles, sending our team to the national championships.
Bantham SLSC can only continue its important safety training with the help of willing and enthusiastic volunteers, who are essential for teaching our young members vital lifesaving skills. Click here to find out how you can get involved with your local community club.
