Bantham Surf Life Saving Club

Become A Lifeguard

To become a volunteer or paid lifeguard there are a number of minimum requirements you must meet:

- Firstly you will need to be a member of an affiliated Surf Life Saving Club in Great Britain.
- You will need to hold a current Beach Lifeguard Award (NARS Beach Lifeguard award)
- Be compliant with the RNLI’s medical requirements (checked annually)
- Pass a police check (every three years for volunteers)
- Meet the fitness requirements
