Bantham Surf Life Saving Club

Seniors

All senior members of the club are encouraged to further their knowledge and training in all aspects of beach safety at Bantham. The club is committed to delivering a sustainable and safe level of service on the beach on Sundays in line with RNLI standards and as such needs seniors to take responsibility for a number of roles.

One of the primary focuses for the club is to get more qualified (NARS - National Rescue Standard Beach Lifeguard award) seniors patrolling the beach on Sundays.

Training takes place from 14:00–15:00 on Sundays throughout the season plus one evening a week.

The club is looking to run a series of first aid training sessions on Sundays for any senior member throughout the season. The club needs qualified first aiders who are not lifeguards to assist in running the beach.

Swim training takes place for all Seniors every Wednesday night in Kingsbridge pool off season from 19:00 – 20:30.
