Bantham is fortunate that it has always had a fully operational IRB as part of its Sunday patrolling capability. In recent years we have honed our driving and rescue skills through competing in the English, GB and European IRB championships.
The English IRB Champs were held on home turf at Sedgewell in July this year and after some excellent performances from both Seniors and Masters, the club won the overall team trophy.

Not content with this success, the club took a team of 12 to compete at the GB and European champs in Bournemouth on the 1st and 2nd October 2011. 56 medals in total with 4 overall titles; the senior Single Rescue both GB and European champions and senior Tube Rescue both GB and European champions!
The club is thankful to all its supporters and especially The Wolf Rock Boat company for its ongoing support. The Wolf Rock Boat Company.
